IPL 2012, Proper Drama

The drama of IPL 2012 is again in the offing for its fifth season and this unfolds for the general public from April 4^th. The matches of the Indian Premier League are going to go on till the 27^th May. It promises to be quite a grand affair with seventy six matches which are to be played at a stretch of fifty four days. All the cricket buffs are going to be glued to the television sets right from the opening ceremony onwards and all the stands on the cricketing grounds where the league matches are to be played out are sure to overflow with the aficionados of the game.

144 cricket players have gone under the IPL hammer at the auctions and have generated record breaking prices. Ravindra Jadeja was the bid player who went for the highest price this season. The inaugural match is set to be played in Chennai. The fifth IPL is different from its predecessors on certain counts because some new things have been introduced and some old ones have been done away with. Some of the changes which are set to grace the drama of  IPL 2012 are as follows:

·         The very first change which has been brought about in the schedule of the Indian Premier League 2012 is that the inaugural ceremony is going to be presented one day before the start of the IPL matches that is on the third of April, instead of the fourth.

·         Each of the nine IPL teams in the game is scheduled to play sixteen league matches. Out of these, eight are to be played in India and the other eight out of the country.

·         In addition to this there are four playoff matches extra that included the final match. These are the matches which constitute the overall 76 tally in the IPL 2012.

·         This year the number of the games to be played in the Indian Premier League has increased to seventy six from the previous year’s match number of seventy four.

·         This year the participating teams are allowed to keep thirty three players in their squad which is three more than the previous 30.

·         Also there is big change in the appearance of cheer girls, who are all set to appear and cheer the teams on while donning ethnic dresses.

All in all the drama of IPL 2012 is all set to make new records in the world of cricket, and the days of anticipation are about to end every soon.
