Aishwarya Rai Bachchan College will open Soon

A college in Aishwarya’s name is being planned to be build by her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan. The only daughter-in-law of Bollywood’s foremost family Bachchans and the proud mother of a pretty daughter is overwhelmed by this gesture.
The members of Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited (ABCL) organized a meeting with the residents of Daultapur in Barabanki village and made them aware that film actor Amitabh Bachchan wished to start a college named after his daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as soon as possible.  The college in Aishwarya’s name would be named as Aishwarya Rai College. An assistant of Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav said, "The village committee has handed over the land to Amitabh Bachchan Sewa Samiti (ABSS), a newly formed organization. The construction work will begin almost immediately. At first, there would be a school from nursery to class 12 and later on it would be upgraded to a degree college." A decision was made that Amit Singh who is the son of the village chief Raj Kumari Singh will be appointed as secretary of the Amitabh Bachchan Sewa Samiti (ABSS).
On January 27, 2008, the foundation stone of Aishwarya Rai College was laid in the Daulatpur village. A lot of big shot went to this ceremony among them were president of Samajwadi Party Mulayam Singh Yadav, ex- Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu Jammu and Kashmir’s former Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah. Former SP leader Amar Singh was the actuating factor in this arrangement and it was decided that, Nishtha Foundation, an association of Jaya Prada who is Samajwadi Party MP, would build and run the college while the land is handed over to the gram sabha.  However, as Singh was expelled from the Samajwadi Party, his companion Jaya Prada stepped back from the project.
An amount of Rs five lakh for the construction of the college in Aishwarya’s name has also been given by Amitabh Bachchan to the Sansthan. Amit Singh stated that as pronounced earlier an intermediate college would be constructed at first and then will be later upgraded to graduate level. Construction work was allotted to the Foundation three years back but the building process has not yet started. He also added that the construction work by the Sewa Sansthan would initiate this year and was expected to be finished until next year. People in the village are very excited for this college to start and they offer their full co-operation in helping out to move this assignment forward.
